Following the Success of Former Middle School Track Athletes:
There have been several other middle school track athletes that have moved up to the varsity level and played key roles in the success of their teams. This is just a brief snapshot that shows our program, although young in existence, is helping to continue the success of our varsity program.
- Ty'un Roundtree: #2 on the MCHS all time performance list in the discus and the MCHS school record holder in the shot put.. Freshman record holder in the discus. Has reached the medal podium five times at the GHSA state track meet.
- Trey Ricks: MCHS school record holder in the 800 meter run. 2 time area champion in the 800. Placed 6th at the 2017 State Track Meet in the 800 meter run and earned all state honors while picking up a State Runner-Up finish in the 800 at the state meet as well as a third place finish in the 800 at the state meet. Trey runs collegiately at NAIA, Brewton Parker.
- Tamyjah Hatten: School record holder in the shot put for MCHS. Throwing the shot put collegiately at NAIA, Brewton Parker.
- Arlona Jordan: MCHS record holder in the 4x400 relay and the triple jump. State placer at the 2018 state track meet.
- Judah Boykin: School record holder in the 300 hurdles at MCHS. Placed 6th at the 2018 state track meet in the 300 hurdles.
- Randy Shoemake Jr.: 2017 state placer in the 4x100 relay. #3 on the MCHS all time performance list in the 100m dash.
- Emeral James: School record holder in the 4x1, 4x4, 400m dash and 200m dash. State placer at the 2018 and 2019s state track meet.
- Jamari Mincey: Freshman record holder in the high jump. Area champ in the HJ as a freshman. #2 ranked high jumper in the class of '21 amongst all GA high schools. State placer at the 2018 GHSA state track meet.
- Xavier Brantley: As a junior Xavier Brantley earned high point honors at the GHSA State track meet and was crowned the high jump state champion.
- Marley Bell: As a freshman Marley earned high point honors at the GHSA State track meet and was a state champ in high jump and triple jump.
